Buon compleanno VitActiva


28 novembre 2006 : un anno fa il movimento giovanile VitActiva ha aperto i battenti, con la sua prima uscita pubblica. In quell’occasione, tramite la distribuzione di materiale informativo presso un gazebo appositamente allestito in piazza, abbiamo ricordato l’assassinio di Benedetto Petrone, avvenuto 29 anni prima a Bari, per mano di una banda di neofascisti.

28 novembre 2007 : ricorre il trentesimo anniversario di quel triste episodio, e alla commemorazione di quel barbaro assassinio è legata la storia di VitActiva.

Ci siamo presentati così alla cittadinanza, con un gazebo in piazza Cesare Battisti ed una montagna di volantini. Abbiamo esordito riportando alla memoria di tutti un periodo lontano, che (ad onor del vero) noi non abbiamo vissuto direttamente sulla nostra pelle, ma che appartiene alla storia italiana, e che trova collegamenti ideologici con avvenimenti recenti. Episodi già descritti sul volantino dello scorso anno, di matrice neofascista e con stampo razzista, che purtroppo hanno toccato anche la nostra Corato.

Abbiamo manifestato fin da subito il nostro sentimento antifascista, ed è proprio l’antifascismo uno dei punti cardine della mentalità di VitActiva.

Sperando che il nostro lavoro sia apprezzato da chi ci segue, da chi ci incita a continuare in maniera onesta e pulita, e anche da chi non condivide le nostre iniziative ma riconosce l’onestà e i buoni propositi del nostro agire; sperando anche che il nostro lavoro sia di stimolo a migliorarsi per chi ha in mano le sorti della nostra città, sia dal punto di vista pubblico e amministrativo, che da quello privato, perché è soprattutto a loro, a chi governa e decide, che noi lanciamo messaggi.

Uno dei maggiori giornalisti italiani, il milanese Curzio Maltese, sbarca a Corato per presentare il suo ultimo lavoro: I padroni delle città.
