Carnival is perhaps the oldest festival that mankind has ever invented . Even primitive man used dress at a given time of year. But even now why we wear masks? Truly we can transform and become different from us?

Carnival is deeply felt and lived in the Caribbean and in particular Haiti.
E 'a carnival of the "body" and also is a carnival "spirit" which manifests itself in a ritual done by the playful elements of gesture, dance, music with traditional instruments produced very similar to vuvuzelas, the clothes are very colorful and often masks depicting totemic animals ( giraffes, tigers, lions, monkeys, zebras, etc.. ).

I n Italia invece il Carnevale è legato alle maschere della "Commedia dell'Arte" . Tra queste i personaggi di Arlecchino , Pantalone , Colombina , Pulcinella e altri.
Il più famoso tra i carnevali italiani è quello di Venezia con le sue bellissime maschere.

Dopo una breve introduzione al tema del "Carnevale nel Mondo" andremo a costruire insieme ai bambini le MASCHERE dei 2 carnevali, quello d'Italia e quello di Haiti, utilizzando i
cartamodelli appositamente realizzati .
Le maschere saranno ritagliate e poi colorate con ulteriori decorazioni libere. Poi faremo 2
buchetti e metteremo un elastico per poterle indossare.
Porteremo con noi un po' di vestiti colorati da bambini che saranno indossati, qualche altra
decorazione, la musica del Carnevale, e poi... tutta FESTA!

Il laboratorio dura da un minimo di 1h e 30 min. fino a 2 h.
Si possono fare 2 classi alla volta (max 50 bambini alla volta). 2 laboratori a mattina.
Il laboratorio 1 può essere realizzato a Febbraio o fino al 4 Marzo 2011, per schools in Rome and province.
