And 'one of the oldest European events of this kind, and is very popular in Slovenia. Launched in 1984, showing films from around the world to Slovenska Kinoteka of Ljubljana and has the characteristic that it is not a competition but an exhibition. The city is very LGBT-friendly and has been at the forefront of the rights movement in Eastern Europe since the mid-eighties. The festival is organized by the Club Roza Ljubljana, which is part of the LGBT Skuce (http://www.skuc.org/) and financial support from the City Hall of Ljubljana, the Slovenian Office for Youth and the British Council Slovenia.
